The  organisation was formed in realizing the dilemma that young people face in the mechanized segregation where young people remain an undefined social cluster whose concerns are left out in the age range broadly distinguishable by gender, religion, race and status. My Age was born to use various innovative youth-friendly communication strategies including volunteerism to enhance youth participation in developmental processes with focus on Sexual and Reproductive health, HIV and AIDS and other cross cutting youth issues. Since inception, My Age has developed expertise in using performance arts, social media, to communicate, advocate and address various Sexual and Reproductive Health, HIV and AIDS issues in schools and communities around Masvingo province partnering with other youth serving organizations in the country as a way of information dissemination on SRH, HIV and AIDS among other issues facing young people
